It is located in the western part of the region, 14 km south-west of Rudny , 14 km south of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway. 10 km north-east of the village is the railway station O.p. The 462nd km on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .

History

During the years of World War II, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in October 1943 . [one]
