It is located in the southern part of the region, 37 km north-east of Roslavl , 0.1 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway ("Old Polish" or "Warsaw"). 21 km to the south of the village is the Schept railway station on the Roslavl - Faience line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
