It is located in the southern part of the region 6 km south of Roslavl , 2 km southwest of the A141 Oryol - Vitebsk highway. 5 km north-east of the village is the Lipovskaya railway station on the Roslavl - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
