It is located in the southern part of the region, 23 km northeast of Roslavl , 10 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Polish or Warsaw), on the banks of the Boldachevka River. 7 km south of the village is the Aselier railway station on the Roslavl - Faience line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
