Gabaevshchina is a former village in the Roslavl district of the Smolensk region of Russia .

It was located in the southern part of the region, 13 km southeast of Roslavl , 0.5 km southwest of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Voronitsa River. 5 km north-east of the village was the Lyubestovo railway station on the Roslavl - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
Since December 28, 2004, it was part of the Lipovsky rural settlement [2] .
The village of Gabaevschina was abolished by the law of the Smolensk region on November 26, 2009 [3] .
