Located in the southern part of the region, 18 km north-east of Roslavl , 0.1 km south of the P137 Safonovo - Roslavl highway, on the bank of the River Solna. 17 km south-west of the village is the Oster railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
