It is located in the southern part of the region, 26 km north-east of Roslavl , 1 km north of the P137 Safonovo - Roslavl highway. 23 km south-west of the village is the Krapivenskaya railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
