It is located in the southern part of the region, 8 km east of Roslavl , 10 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Polish or Warsaw), on the banks of the Ostrik River. 2 km south-east of the village is the railway station O.p. 6th km on the Roslavl - Faience line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
