It is located in the southern part of the region, 4 km north-east of Roslavl , 0.1 km north of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Polish or Warsaw), on the banks of the Ostrik River. 6 km south-west of the village is the railway station Roslavl-1 on the line Smolensk - Bryansk .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
