It is located in the southern part of the region 38 km north-east of Roslavl , 17 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Poland or Warsaw). 8 km south of the village is the railway station Schept ' on the Roslavl - Faience line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
