It is located in the southern part of the region, 28 km southeast of Roslavl , 4 km south of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Voronitsa River. 7 km north-east of the village is the Uzkoye railway station on the Roslavl - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
