It is located in the southern part of the region 32 km north-east of Roslavl , 4 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Poland or Warsaw), on the banks of the Desna River . At 16 km south of the village is the railway station O.p. The 23rd km on the Roslavl - Faience line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
