It is located in the southern part of the region, 34 km north-east of Roslavl , 0.1 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Polish or Warsaw), on the banks of the Desna River . 20 km south of the village is the railway station Schept ' on the Roslavl - Faience line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
