It is located in the southern part of the region, 6 km south-east of Roslavl , 4 km east of the P120 Oryol - Vitebsk highway, on the bank of the Lapovka River. The railway station Lipovskaya on the Roslavl - Bryansk line is located 0.1 km north-east of the settlement.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the station was occupied by Hitler's troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
