Located in the central part of the region, 15 km north-east of Pochinka , 0.1 km south of the P96 highway Novoaleksandrovsky (A101) - Spas-Demensk - Yelnya - Pochinok , on the bank of the Kamenka river. 16 km south-west of the village there is a railway station Pochinok on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .
Hero of Socialist Labor Sergey Bizunov was born in the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
