It is located in the central part of the region, 28 km south-east of Pochinka , 1 km east of the A141 Oryol - Vitebsk highway. 3 km north-west of the village is located the Stodolische railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
