It is located in the central part of the region 6 km north of Pochinok , 3 km east of the A141 Oryol - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Alekseevka River. 2.5 km southeast of the village is the Grudinino railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
