It is located in the central part of the region 3 km north of Pochinka , 3.5 km east of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Alekseevka River. 0.5 km east of the village is the Grudinino railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
