Located in the central part of the region, 10 km north-west of Pochinka , 2 km east of the A141 Oryol - Vitebsk highway. The Peresna railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line is located 5 km northeast of the village.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
