It is located in the western part of the region 16 km west of the Monastery , 55 km west of the A141 Oryol - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Molokhovka River . Engelhardt railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line is located 57 km east of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
