It is located in the western part of the region, 6 km south-west of Monastyrschina , 42 km west of the A141 Oryol - Vitebsk highway. 49 km east of the village is located Vaskovo railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
