Steep - abolished village in the Monastyrshchinsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Lubavitcher rural settlement. As of 2007, there is no permanent population. There were no buildings in the village.

It is located in the western part of the region 27 km south-west of the Monastery , 55 km west of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Kokhlya river. 59 km east of the village is the Vaskovo railway station on the Smolensk - Roslavl line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]

Abolished on October 31, 2013 [2]
