It is located in the western part of the region, 15 km south of Krasny , 16 km south of the P135 highway ( Smolensk - Krasny - Gusino ), on the bank of the Kamenka river. The Gusino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 34 km north of the village.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
