Located in the western part of the region, 7 km east of Krasnoye , 1 km south of the P135 highway ( Smolensk - Krasny - Gusino ). 17 km north-west of the village is the Velino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .


History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
