It is located in the western part of the region 8 km east of Krasnoye , 1.5 km south of the P135 highway ( Smolensk - Krasny - Gusino). 18 km northwest of the village is the Velino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
