It is located in the western part of the region 12 km north-east of Krasnoye , 2 km north of the P135 highway ( Smolensk - Krasny - Gusino ), on the banks of the Dubrava River. 12 km north-west of the village is the Velino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
