It is located in the western part of the region, 23 km northwest of Krasnoye , 2 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Olshanka River. 5 km south-east of the village is the railway station O.p. 478th km on the line Moscow - Minsk .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
