It is located in the western part of the region, 14 km north-east of Krasnoye , 13 km south of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Chuzhovka River. 9 km north of the village is the Voronino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
