It is located in the western part of the region 23 km south of Krasnoye , 25 km south of the P135 highway ( Smolensk - Krasny - Gusino), on the banks of the Veshenka river. Gusino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 41 km northwest of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
