Located in the central part of the region, 12 km south-west of Kardymov , 10 km south of the P134 highway “The Old Smolensk Road” Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the bank of the Dnieper River . 3 km east of the village is the railway station Konets on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
