It is located in the central part of the region 21 km south of Kardymov , 23 km south of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Bolshoi Vopets river . 7 km north of the village is the Pridneprovskaya railway station on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
