It is located in the central part of the region 18 km southeast of Kardymov , 9 km south of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov . 18 km north-west of the village is the Kardymovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
