It is located in the central part of the region 12 km south-west of Kardymov , 5 km south of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Yerevan River. 1 km south-west of the village is the Dukhovskaya railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
