It is located in the southern part of the region 16 km southeast of the Ershichi , 18 km southwest of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway, on the banks of the Voronitsa River. 22 km north-east of the village is the railway station Prygorie on the Roslavl - Bryansk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
