It is located in the southern part of the region, 14 km northwest of the Ershichi , 12 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Poland or Warsaw). 7 km north of the village is the Krivoles railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
