It is located in the southern part of the region, 14 km north-west of the Ershichi , 13 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Polish or Warsaw), on the banks of the Iput River. 8 km north of the village is the Krivoles railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
