It is located in the southern part of the region 14 km west of the Ershichi , 22 km south of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Poland or Warsaw). At 16 km north of the village is the railway station Poniatovka on the Roslavl - Krichev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
Until June 5, 2017, it was part of the Besedkovsky rural settlement .
