It is located in the northern part of the region, 37 km northeast of the Dukhovshchina , 11 km east of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway. 52 km southeast of the village is the Yartsevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
