It is located in the northern part of the region, 33 km northwest of the Dukhovschina , 4 km west of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway. 54 km southeast of the village is the Yartsevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
