Located in the northern part of the region, 48 km north of Dukhovshchina , 7 km north of the P136 Smolensk - Nelidovo highway. The railway station Nikitinka on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Deadlock line is located 55 km east of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
