It is located in the northern part of the region, 44 km north-east of the Dukhovschina , 1 km north of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway, on the banks of the Arzhat river . 46 km east of the village is the Nikitinka railway station on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Tupik line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
