It is located in the northern part of the region 48 km north of Dukhovschina , 5 km north of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway. 52 km east of the village is the Nikitinka railway station on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Tupik line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
