It is located in the northern part of the region 17 km northwest of the Dukhovschina , 3.5 km west of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway, on the banks of the Krutitsa River. 40 km southeast of the village is the Priselskaya railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
