Located in the northern part of the region, 21 km north-west of Dukhovshchina , 0.7 km west of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo road . The railway station Yartsevo on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 43 km south-east of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
