It is located in the northwestern part of the region, 39 km north-east of Demidov , 39 km west of the P133 Smolensk- Nevel highway, on the banks of the Sermyatka River. 82 km south of the village is the railway station O.p. The 430th km on the line Moscow - Minsk .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
