Geography
Located in the northwestern part of the region, 35 km north-east of Demidov , 39 km west of the P133 Smolensk- Nevel highway, on the banks of the Vasilevka River. O. p. Railway station is located 74 km south of the village . 430th km on the line Moscow - Minsk .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
