Located in the northwestern part of the region, 39 km northeast of Demidov , 38 km west of the P133 Smolensk- Nevel highway, on the banks of the Elsha River. O. p. Railway station is located 82 km south of the village . 430th km on the line Moscow - Minsk .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
