It is located in the northwestern part of the region, 15 km northwest of Demidov , 1 km west of the P133 Smolensk- Nevel highway. 58 km south of the village is the Golynka railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
