It is located in the northwestern part of the region 18 km north of Demidov , 8 km east of the P133 Smolensk- Nevel highway. At 67 km south of the village is the railway station O.p. 416th km on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
