It is located in the northwestern part of the region 11 km southwest of Demidov , 0.5 km north of the P130 Demidov-Rudnya highway, on the banks of the Vyatsha river . 34 km south of the village is the Golynka railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
